Blood & Guts takes center stage, requiring little additional setup. AEW’s answer to WarGames features both men’s and women’s contests inside the double cage. While the WWE equivalent often emphasizes weapons, this edition prioritizes raw violence and, true to its name, blood. That premise is enough to carry the show, so let’s get to it.
The double cage is lowered as the event opens on a major note.
Don Callis and his Family are prepared to win tonight and advance toward gold at Full Gear. Kyle Fletcher vows to lead his team to victory before capturing the World Championship.
Will Ospreay and his allies acknowledge their own volatility and readiness to fight. In this environment, preparation matters less than maintaining composure no matter what unfolds. Adam Copeland wears the same attire from his legendary encounter with Mick Foley and understands exactly what lies ahead.
A video package recaps the women’s Blood & Guts match, framing it as several intersecting feuds converging in one large double-cage contest.
Team Persephone vs. Team Aminata
Persephone, Thekla, Lena Kross, Megan Bayne, Julia Hart, Skye Blue
Queen Aminata, Jamie Hayter, Alex Windsor, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, Kris Statlander
Bayne, whose team won the toss, opens against Statlander for the initial three minutes. Afterward, additional entrants join at staggered intervals. Bayne drives Statlander into the corner, only to absorb a running knee. They exchange heavy knockdowns until Bayne counters from the top with a super hurricanrana. A chair enters the fray, and Statlander strikes Bayne with it before delivering a harder shot to the back. Bayne is thrown into a chair positioned in the corner as Persephone enters at number two.
Briefcase shots leave Statlander vulnerable, and Bayne returns with the chair to intensify the punishment. Following a commercial break, Persephone uses pliers on Statlander’s teeth. Aminata enters to even the odds but is knocked down, allowing Persephone to steal the TBS Title. The advantage proves short-lived as Statlander counters with Chocolate Kisses into a trashcan lid and then into Persephone’s head. Skye Blue enters third and cracks Statlander in the head with light tubes.
Blue is struck in the head with a chair and is busted open, yet she continues to choke Statlander. Nightingale evens the count by swinging a backpack at Blue’s head. Blue retaliates by kicking Nightingale into the cage before another break. Upon returning, Nightingale assaults a heavily bleeding Bayne. Nightingale pours out colored bricks—referred to as Legos—and Thekla enters at number four.
The house is cleared until Thekla faces off with Aminata. Nightingale and Persephone intervene, and Alex Windsor enters with a barbed-wire 2×4 to strike at Blue’s head. A chair shot to the head leaves Blue in further trouble on the ramp until Thekla exits the cage to make the save. After a third break, Lena Kross enters at number five, evening the numbers again and shrugging off kendo-stick shots from Aminata.
Kross and Bayne throw Windsor into the cage before Harley Cameron enters to fight back. Cameron dives onto Bayne and Kross, the latter of whom is struck with a guitar. Julia Hart completes her team and takes Statlander down for some mat-based scrapping. Thekla follows with a spider superplex before another break.
The action resumes as Jamie Hayter, carrying a cooler, enters at number six to complete the field. This signals the first submission to win. Thekla has a trashcan placed over her head and is beaten by the Birds. Statlander is double powerbombed into the cage and falls to the floor as Bayne becomes covered in blood. Cameron is dropped onto a smiley-face trashcan lid multiple times before Thekla adds a chokehold.
Nightingale returns with a trashcan lid of her own as tables—plain and barbed wire—are introduced. Aminata is laid out on the plain table so Persephone can climb the structure and deliver an elbow drop. Bayne and Kross are placed through the barbed-wire table while Cameron applies a half crab to Hart. Statlander wraps barbed wire around Hart’s face, and Hart submits at 45:19.
Rating: B+. The match delivered largely what one would expect, with substantial time devoted to violence for its own sake. Persephone and Aminata were late additions intended to increase the participant count, though their impact was limited. That said, Bayne, Statlander, and others more than held their own, with Bayne’s blood loss serving as a striking visual. Fans of Blood & Guts will appreciate this contest, as it checks most of the expected boxes.
A video package previews Tommaso Ciampa versus Andrade El Idolo on this Saturday’s Collision.
Andrade states that the title represents the people who believe in him and that he will never abandon them.
The broadcast highlights memorable Jacksonville moments in AEW history.
Austin Creed confronts Swerve Strickland regarding his attack on Bandido the previous week. Strickland responds that he acted by any means necessary, and that it was necessary. As Kofi Kingston screams, Bandido—who has previously attacked Kingston—goes after Strickland and Creed. The brawl moves through the arena, where Creed lands a spear before Brody King arrives. Hangman Page attempts to restore order, but Bandido declares he wants to kill Strickland. Page observes that this is exactly what Strickland wants, prompting Bandido to call for a Texas Deathmatch. Page ultimately agrees. It was a matter of when, not if, and that is not necessarily a bad thing.
The Cut previously took out the Conglomeration.
Jon Moxley interrupts the Conglomeration to ask how many times they have fought together. Although Moxley dislikes asking for assistance, he requests their help. He slides Orange Cassidy a fork, suggesting they can collect the debt Jay White owes. The Conglomeration reportedly agrees to participate in Anarchy In The Arena.
Mercedes Mone appears for a segment and immediately calls out Marina Shafir, who believes herself to be a killer. Shafir is ready to fight, but notes that Mone has forgotten what it means to be afraid. When Mone attacked her previously, Shafir was trying to prove she could; now Shafir claims Mone hits like a “****.” A belt shot drops Shafir, allowing Mone to administer a beating that includes the Bank Statement.
A Nick Wayne video package airs, similar to one shown on Collision.
Wayne is shown in the crowd and promises to appear on the Jericho Cruise this weekend.

Team Ospreay vs. Don Callis Family
Will Ospreay, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Darby Allin, Steven Borden, Adam Copeland
Callis: Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika Okada, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis, Wardlow
Fletcher opens for the Family, which won the toss. A video package shows Allin and Borden, with Allin previously placed inside a body bag. Allin escapes the bag in the arena and starts for his team. He attempts to flip over Fletcher in the corner but is taken straight down and sent into the ropes. Fletcher follows with a standing Coffin Drop off the cage and a skateboard shot to the back, putting Fletcher in trouble for a change.
Fletcher counters by dropping Allin onto the skateboard before Kevin Knight enters to make matters worse. A maneuver resembling a standing Doomsday Dropkick keeps Allin down, and a monkey flip sends Allin and his chair over for a shot from Fletcher. Nick Jackson enters to even the numbers and clears the house with his usual flippy kicks and strikes. Doyle enters third for the Family, dressed in an unusual combination reminiscent of Bunkhouse Buck and Henry Godwinn. The house is quickly cleared again, including Shock Treatment, before a break.
When the show returns, Matt Jackson enters but cannot put the imposing Doyle down. Davis, wearing the same attire as Doyle, enters to target the Bucks, prompting Allin to climb the cage. Davis and Doyle catch Allin as he falls from the top and slam him down with ease. Copeland enters with a chair to attack the waiting Family even as the fans sing his song. The momentum does not last, as Copeland is sent into a chair in the corner.
Wardlow enters next for the Family, and Copeland must fight out of the corner. Wardlow’s Swanton puts Copeland through a table as Borden enters to clear the house as well, including causing Doyle’s clothesline to strike Davis. The Stinger Splashes connect on both men before thumbtacks are introduced. The process takes too long, and Borden is powerbombed onto them, though the Bucks recover. Okada enters to complete the Family, bringing a leaf blower to clear away the tacks. Borden follows up with dropkicks before another break.
Ospreay enters last, albeit with the Family waiting for him. Everyone rises for a major staredown and slugfest, followed by a parade of knockdowns. With everyone else down, it comes down to Fletcher versus Ospreay, and the fans approve. They both escape powerbomb attempts until Ospreay takes over, only to be caught in the Tree of Woe. Knight assists in taking over on Ospreay, so Wardlow retrieves Allin’s backpack—which explodes.
Double superkicks drive a chair into Okada’s face, with the shoes exploding as well. The Bucks equip thumbtack shoes for additional superkicks before a barbed-wire chair is introduced. When Davis refuses to give up, Ospreay is brainbustered onto the chair. Allin slips through the cages to go after Don Callis, but Wardlow rips the door off and throws it at Allin instead. Allin escapes a powerbomb and climbs to the top, with Wardlow following like an idiot. Wardlow lifts Allin for a suplex and walks around the top of the cage, but Allin slips out and delivers a low blow.
Copeland fires off several spears before being taken down by Okada. A thumbtack Rainmaker is cut off by a spear through a table in the corner, but the Conchairto is broken up as well. Copeland is chained to the cage door, and Wardlow powerbombs Allin on top of the cage. Fletcher tells Copeland to quit or the violence will continue. Copeland surrenders to save Ospreay from the screwdriver at 48:00.
Rating: B. The ending resembles the Bucks surrendering to save Jack Perry. The concept makes sense, but this match did not resonate as strongly as the women’s edition. It felt overly choreographed, with less violence and blood and more general spectacle. It still worked, and Copeland sacrificing himself to save Ospreay is effective, but the women’s match was superior.
Following the match, Fletcher instructs Wardlow to proceed, and Allin is thrown through a pile of tables. Ospreay is furious with Copeland, who appears unrepentant, as the show concludes.
