AEW teases the return of Wardlow through a vignette
During All Out on September 26, AEW unveiled a vignette featuring Wardlow. The video caption reads, “Wardlow’s return looms!” In the 37‑second clip, various moments from Wardlow’s career appear as the crowd chants his name. The video shows Wardlow getting ready. He puts on a suit and fixes his sleeves. Right when he stares at the camera, the footage ends.
Wardlow joined AEW back in 2019. Before that, he had cemented his status as a mainstay in the independent circuit. Initially, he established himself as MJF’s bodyguard in AEW. Later, Wardlow formed a stable named The Pinnacle with MJF and other wrestlers. In 2022, Wardlow defeated Scorpio Sky to win the TNT Championship. He held the title for nearly a year before losing it to Luchasaurus.
Afterward, Wardlow became part of a feud with MJF, co‑creating a stable named The Devil’s Masked Men, which later became The Undisputed Kingdom. In March 2024, Wardlow emerged as the winner of an All‑Star Scramble match, securing an AEW World Championship bout.
However, in September that year, Matt Taven, another member of The Undisputed Kingdom, confirmed that Wardlow had sustained a knee injury. He added that Wardlow was “just trying to figure out what the best kind of treatment plan is to get back on track with that knee.” (Stick to Wrestling via Wrestview.com).
While Wardlow was absent from AEW TV, he was active in the indie circuit, competing in promotions such as Ring of Honor. Wardlow returned to AEW at Forbidden Door in August 2025. However, a month later, reports revealed that he suffered another injury, which took him out of action once more. Given what the vignette shows, it seems Wardlow’s return is imminent.
