WrestleDream will take place at Addition Financial Arena and air live on pay‑per‑view and HBO Max in the United States. International viewers can watch through MyAEW. The card received two additional championship matches during the October 6 episode of Dynamite: Grand Slam France.
Swerve Strickland and The New Level, comprising Kofi and Austin Creed, will defend the AEW World Trios Championship against “Hangman” Adam Page, Bandido, and Brody King. The match will follow a two‑out‑of‑three‑falls format. Jon Moxley will also defend the AEW Continental Championship against Mark Davis. The latter earned the opportunity after pinning Moxley during a tag team match at Grand Slam France.
The inaugural eight‑man Clockwork Carnage match for the AEW World Championship remains another major attraction. Will Ospreay, Samoa Joe, and ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey are the first three confirmed participants. Ospreay retained the title against Kazuchika Okada in France, while Joe secured his spot by defeating Jack Perry. Six additional competitors remain to be announced.
The current card also includes Mercedes Moné defending the AEW Women’s World Championship against Thekla. The Young Bucks will face Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. The Brawling Birds duo of Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor will defend their AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship against Wrathlander’s Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander.
