The inaugural Africa Business Investment Summit (ABIS) 2026 will be held at MGM National Harbor in Washington D.C. on August 27-28, 2026, serving as a pivotal event for African economic advancement. Convened by the Millennium Excellence Foundation under the patronage of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene of the Asante Kingdom, the summit is designed to unite Heads of State, government ministers, development finance institutions, institutional investors, and Africa’s foremost deal originators. Its core objective is to foster connections between the global African diaspora and the continent’s burgeoning investment opportunities.
The summit’s agenda includes high-level royal keynotes, ministerial roundtables, and exclusive bilateral investment meetings, all structured to accelerate partnerships between African innovators and U.S.-based investors. ABIS aims to facilitate the signing of memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and letters of intent (LOIs) within the two-day period, emphasizing efficiency and tangible outcomes.
Spanning critical sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, technology, mining, real estate, and the creative economy, the event will gather influential leaders poised to define Africa’s investment trajectory. By addressing a broad spectrum of industries, ABIS seeks to catalyze sustainable growth and diversify the continent’s economic landscape.
