Arkia Israel Airlines has entered a partnership with Israeli eSIM provider Voye Global, offering its passengers discounted mobile data packages for use overseas. The collaboration was announced on November 2.
Under the agreement, Arkia customers can purchase global and regional data plans, as well as travel‑specific bundles for the United States, at discounts ranging from roughly 20 % to 36 % below standard rates.
The solution leverages eSIM technology—a digital SIM embedded directly in the device—so travelers can connect to foreign cellular networks without replacing their physical SIM or seeking a local one at the airport.
Voye Global operates eSIM‑based mobile data services across more than 130 countries, providing reusability across future trips and multi‑network access in each destination, along with 24‑hour customer support in Hebrew, Russian, and Arabic.
While specific package pricing and the duration of the discounted rates were not disclosed, the announcement underscores Arkia’s commitment to improving passenger convenience.
Separately, the airline has faced legal scrutiny after selling tickets for the Tokyo route before Japanese authorities gave the service the green light, resulting in a class‑action lawsuit that alleges thousands of travelers were left without flights.
