Following this loss, Lee has been absent from WWE television, though the former Divas Champion has stated she is preparing for a potential return in the future.
Having only recently returned to the ring, Lee has yet to face a significant portion of the current women’s roster.
Below are seven potential opponents for AJ Lee’s WWE return.
7. Raquel Rodriguez
At WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, AJ Lee defeated Becky Lynch to win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title.
This reign was short-lived as Lynch recaptured the championship at WrestleMania 42.
Months later, Raquel Rodriguez currently holds the Women’s IC Title.
Making her return to the company, Lee could step right back into WWE to attempt to become a two-time Women’s IC Champion.
6. Chelsea Green
At WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night Two, Chelsea Green defeated Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Lash Legend, and Tiffany Stratton in a Ladder Match to become the Interim WWE Women’s Champion.
This marked the biggest win of Green’s career and finally elevated her to the main title picture.
Since his return in July, AJ Lee’s husband CM Punk has moved from Monday Night Raw to Friday Night SmackDown.
