AJ Styles was left impressed by Logan Paul following their showdown at WrestleMania 41, where Paul emerged victorious in their 2025 pay-per-view matchup. Styles opened up about the experience during an appearance on WWE Retrospective.
On Paul’s Work in WWE:
“Logan Paul is an athlete — make no mistake about it. He does some incredible things. The first time I met him, I tried to give him a compliment, and he didn’t know how to take it. So I told him, ‘Man, just take it and say thank you.’ But once I got to know him, he’s a genuinely good guy and a relentless worker. His mind is always racing with new ideas.
“I was deeply impressed by his work ethic, both inside and outside the ring. He may have been our best celebrity athlete yet — I’m putting that out there. For someone who isn’t a trained wrestler, he did some remarkable things in the ring. There’s something about his face that draws people in — it’s the same aura The Miz had. People want to target Logan Paul, and honestly, that tells you something.”
On Paul’s Athleticism:
“Honestly, I had no idea how big he was. Logan isn’t just a boxer — he’s a legit boxer — but he’s also a skilled collegiate wrestler. A lot of people don’t realize that, which is why he can hold his own.
“Logan works hard to stand apart, and his athleticism shines through. It’s not always the same moves, but the intensity and mannerisms are similar. A lot of folks write him off as some fragile, whiny personality, but the truth is, he can take care of himself quite well.”
