Following their team’s loss, Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson confronted Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb near midfield after the game and struck him with a punch.
After the final whistle, while Chubb engaged with players from both teams, Jackson approached him and exchanged heated words before delivering a right hook to Chubb’s jaw. Despite the incident, Chubb appeared unfazed.
“It’s just emotions, you know what I mean? Emotional game, it was a close game,” Chubb told the California Post. “They always catch the second guy, so I let him swing, and then my teammates held me back, and I just chilled.”
Chubb was also seen speaking with Rams defensive end Myles Garrett on the field, though when questioned about potential altercations, he clarified there were no issues between the two.
“Just the whole team. Like I said, it was an emotional game. Tempers flared,” Chubb said. “But it is what it is. We flushed it and we onto next week.”
Chubb did not name Jackson directly in his postgame interview.
“Someone swung, but hey, that’s not on me to tell who,” Chubb said. “There’s cameras out there. I just know, you know what I’m saying, I’m just ready for next week.”
When asked if he was okay, Chubb affirmed he was.
“I’m just ready for next week,” he said. “You see me, I’m smiling, I’m with my team. I’ll be ready for next week.”
Jackson’s availability for the next game remains undetermined pending potential disciplinary action.
