Australian international Alessandro Circati has completed a high-profile transfer from Parma to Benfica, describing the move as a “privilege” and expressing excitement about joining the Portuguese giants. Circati, an Italian-born defender who rose through Perth Glory’s ranks before joining Parma in 2021, has quickly become a key figure in Serie A. He earned 17 caps for the Socceroos, including four World Cup appearances, and scored one goal. Parma honored his contributions in a statement, noting his 96 appearances and role in their recent promotions.
