More than 2,000 baby bath seats sold on Amazon are being recalled due to a drowning hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The recall covers approximately 2,140 ONTHEWEI-branded bath seats, which federal regulators say violate mandatory safety standards. The seats are unstable and can tip over during use, posing a risk of serious injury or death from drowning.

The affected units were sold on Amazon in April 2026 for between $40 and $50. They come in gray, pink, blue, and mist green, featuring detachable restraint arms and suction cups on the underside. “Model No: MY002” and “Date of manufacturer: 2026/1/10” appear on a label on the back of each seat.

No injuries or deaths have been reported to date. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bath seats and contact ONTHEWEI for a full refund.

To receive a refund, consumers must destroy the bath seat by writing “RECALLED” in permanent marker on the front, disassembling it by removing the backrest and arm restraints, and cutting the three suction cups on the underside. A photo of the destroyed seat showing the marking must then be sent to the company.
