Andy Cohen and Bravo have reached a settlement resolving Leah McSweeney’s lawsuit alleging a toxic work environment.

Filed in February 2024, the lawsuit by the Real Housewives of New York personality alleged that Bravo executives encouraged substance use and contributed to a relapse in her alcohol use. McSweeney additionally claimed that Cohen and the network orchestrated a media campaign to damage her reputation.

The confidential agreement prevents what would have been Bravo’s first trial involving a cast member. Gary Adelman of Adelman Matz, McSweeney’s attorney, told The New York Post on Friday, “We are extremely satisfied with the outcome and proud of Leah’s perseverance.”

Under standard settlement terms, McSweeney has withdrawn her legal action following the agreement. The financial terms remain undisclosed, though her legal team’s satisfaction suggests a favorable resolution.

McSweeney, who had maintained sobriety for ten years, reportedly relapsed shortly before filming began in 2019. Her 2024 lawsuit alleged that Bravo and its executives pressured her to resume drinking to heighten on-screen drama and increase viewership.

In May 2025, following her initial filing, McSweeney alleged that Bravo personalities—including Heather Dubrow, Kyle Richards, Melissa Gorga, Kandi Burruss, Lisa Vanderpump, and Dorinda Medley—publicly characterized her as untruthful across television, digital, and print outlets. She further claimed Cohen directed nearly two dozen Bravo stars to disparage her credibility to secure his favor and advance their careers.

Cohen and Bravo have denied all allegations.
