TOKYO — As the semiconductor industry faces the physical limits of current chip miniaturization, the adoption of new materials has become essential to sustaining progress. In an interview with Nikkei, Applied Materials’ senior Japan executive said the company is harnessing artificial intelligence to accelerate the discovery of advanced materials, aiming to play a key role in driving the next wave of innovation.
