The Arizona Cardinals have placed fourth-round draft pick Kaleb Proctor on injured reserve, ending his rookie season before it begins. The defensive lineman sustained a torn meniscus during the team’s offseason program, a diagnosis head coach Mike LaFleur indicated would likely side-line him for the full 2026 campaign. The move, enacted Wednesday, makes Proctor ineligible for activation at any point during the current season.
To address the roster gap created by Proctor’s placement, the Cardinals signed free agent defensive lineman Coziah Izzard to their 90-man roster. Izzard, a former Penn State prospect, previously signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2025 before rejoining the New Orleans Saints’ training camp, though he did not appear in any regular season games for either organization.
