Arsenal are at the forefront of the pursuit to acquire Aston Villa’s dynamic playmaker Morgan Rogers this summer.
According to a TEAMtalk report, Chelsea and Manchester City are also monitoring the 23‑year‑old midfielder, but Arsenal remain confident of securing his signature.
The club has accelerated its interest in Rogers, and optimism is growing in North London that the deal can be finalised. Rogers contributed 14 goals and 12 assists across all competitions last season, helping Aston Villa clinch UEFA Europa League victory and secure Champions League qualification.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has held personal discussions with Rogers, who has been impressed by the club’s vision.
Whether Aston Villa will permit his departure remains uncertain, though the transfer would command a fee exceeding £100 million. Arsenal’s recent Premier League triumph equips them financially to meet such demands and build a squad aimed at sustained English domination.
The team seeks a creative midfield presence capable of both scoring and assisting. Rogers can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a wide forward, providing versatile offensive options.
Should Chelsea lose Enzo Fernández, the acquisition of Rogers would address their creative deficit and replenish their midfield output.
