Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed a fresh injury concern ahead of the Hull City match at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal opened their campaign strongly with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Slavia Prague in the Champions League last night.
In the same match, Ezri Konsa was substituted shortly after the hour mark, and Arteta confirmed the change was due to injury concerns rather than tactical reasons.
Although an early yellow card was cited as the reason for his removal, Arteta clarified that injury concerns prompted the substitution.
His fitness for Saturday’s fixture remains uncertain.
Konsa has been the regular centre‑back partner of Gabriel Magalhães while William Saliba was sidelined by injury; Saliba has now returned to full training.
The Frenchman was an unused substitute against Slavia Prague and may make his first appearance of the season against Hull City.
It is likely that Saliba will start if selected.
