Arsenal Keep Julian Alvarez Bid Alive as Transfer Window Nears Close

The transfer window is closing on Tuesday, yet Arsenal’s business is far from complete. The departure of Gabriel Martinelli to Al-Hilal and Gabriel Jesus to Barcelona signals the end of the “three Gabriels” era, forcing Mikel Arteta to manage the squad numbers. Atletico have remained firm against selling, even reporting Barcelona to the Spanish FA for illicit contact.

Compounding the situation is whether Alvarez would even be interested in returning to England after two seasons with Manchester City. Reports indicate he has discussed his reluctance to join Arsenal with Arteta, adding complexity to the negotiations.
