Arsenal Considers signing Barcelona defender Kounde for upcoming season
The Gunners are currently thin at the back due to recent injuries. William Saliba will be sidelined for several months following a back injury sustained at the World Cup.
Right-back Jurrien Timber, who has been Arsenal’s first-choice option, remains sidelined for several more weeks as he recovers from a persistent groin problem.
Consequently, the club is exploring the possibility of signing a new defender, with reports indicating Arsenal are considering a move for Kounde. The French player’s future remains uncertain, and a transfer could materialize if the price is right.
Kounde is valued at approximately £50 million, and Arsenal view him as a viable option for both centre-back and right-back roles, should they fail to convince Aston Villa to part with Ezri Konsa.
