Arsenal’s Declan Rice, Gabriel, and David Raya have earned nominations for the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Men’s Player of the Year award. Joining them on the shortlist are Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki.

Bruno Fernandes, 31, may hold an advantage after recently securing the Football Writers’ Association’s Men’s Footballer of the Year title, an accolade that frequently serves as a precursor to the PFA victory.

The Portuguese midfielder played a pivotal role in Manchester United’s third-place finish, recording a league-high 21 assists.

Rice, Gabriel, and Raya are recognized for their instrumental contributions to Arsenal’s historic Premier League triumph, the club’s first title in 22 years.

Meanwhile, Erling Haaland secured the Golden Boot with 27 goals, and Rayan Cherki enjoyed a standout debut campaign in the English top flight.

Last year’s honor went to former Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah, who netted 29 goals to lead the Reds to the league title.

The recipient of the award will be revealed on Tuesday, August 25, during the 53rd annual PFA Awards Ceremony held in Manchester.
