Key Points

Friday proved to be a strong session for ASML Holding (NASDAQ: ASML), the Dutch semiconductor equipment leader specializing in photolithography — the process of printing circuit patterns onto microprocessors. A bullish research report on prominent chipmakers ignited a sympathy rally, lifting ASML’s shares by more than 4%.

Supplier to the stars

The catalyst was an analysis from Lynx Equity Strategies, where analyst K.C. Rajkumar reiterated strong buy ratings on Micron Technology and Sandisk, projecting upside of 33% and 49%, respectively.

Both stocks had endured a volatile stretch driven more by sentiment than fundamentals. Prices have since eased, and the long-term outlook remains solid as global computing demand expands alongside the AI boom. As memory makers like Micron and Sandisk scale up production to meet rising workloads, ASML stands to benefit directly — its lithography systems are essential to the manufacturing pipeline, and demand is only expected to intensify during the ongoing chip-building cycle.

Still underrated

ASML’s 4% gain trailed Sandisk’s nearly 12% surge and Micron’s 6% jump after the Lynx report went public. That relative underperformance, however, may make the stock more appealing — it offers a quieter, under-the-radar way to gain exposure to the AI revolution and the broader “pick-and-shovel” investment thesis.
