AstraZeneca announced that the SANOVO Phase III trial in China demonstrated that Tagrisso combined with Orpathys significantly and meaningfully improved progression‑free survival compared with Tagrisso alone in treatment‑naïve patients with EGFR‑mutated locally advanced or metastatic non‑small cell lung cancer and MET overexpression. This benefit was observed in both the high‑MET subgroup and the intention‑to‑treat population. Additionally, the combination showed promising improvements in overall survival in both groups. The results will be presented at an upcoming medical conference and submitted to regulatory authorities.

Tagrisso plus Orpathys received approval in China for patients with locally advanced or metastatic EGFR‑mutated non‑small cell lung cancer and MET amplification after progression on EGFR‑TKI therapy, based on the SACHI Phase III trial. The agent is a joint development of AstraZeneca and HUTCHMED (HCM, HCM.L, 0013.HK) and is commercialized by AstraZeneca.

At the most recent NYSE close, AstraZeneca’s share price was $162.13, reflecting a 0.35% decline.
