Bam Margera Rules Out Any Future Jackass Reunion, Says He Never Wants to See Johnny Knoxville Again

Bam Margera stated he has no desire to ever encounter Johnny Knoxville again and has dismissed the possibility of any future Jackass reunion.

The stunt performer was dismissed during filming of 2022’s Jackass Forever after allegedly failing multiple drug and alcohol screenings. He subsequently filed a lawsuit against Paramount, Knoxville, and director Jeff Tremaine concerning his termination, which was resolved outside of court.

Margera does appear in the recently released Jackass: Best And Last through archival footage, though he did not contribute any new material for the film.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone coinciding with the film’s release, he said he intends to watch the movie but has firmly ruled out any possibility of reuniting with the crew.

“I’ll definitely watch the film and hope it’s strong, but a reunion is out of the question—not in ten million years,” he remarked.

He emphasized that he holds no grudge against the rest of the Jackass cast, noting that his difficulties are solely with Knoxville and director Tremaine. “I never want to see them again in my life,” he said. “Enough is enough.”

In his lawsuit, Margera claimed he endured “inhumane” and “discriminatory” treatment regarding his wellness agreement and argued that the producers had been “setting him up to fail.” Paramount previously stated that measures had been taken to support his sobriety prior to his removal from the film.

Reflecting on the ordeal, Margera said he had anticipated receiving $5 million for his involvement in Jackass Forever and felt “very fucking angry” when informed he would not appear in the film.

Knoxville, meanwhile, recently told GQ that the crew had “drawn a hard line” with Margera, believing it presented an opportunity to assist him. “As long as he’s thriving and healthy, that’s all I care about,” he said. “Selfishly, I would welcome him back into my life, but that’s entirely up to him.”

Last year, Margera similarly dismissed any chance of returning to Jackass, stating, “No amount of money could convince me to do another Jackass with them. The damage has been done.”

In December 2023, Margera announced he had achieved 100 days of sobriety, partly attributing his progress to inspiration from Mark Wahlberg in the gym.

Two years earlier, he pleaded guilty to two counts of disorderly conduct stemming from an incident involving his brother and received a six‑month probation sentence.

Jackass: Best And Last premiered in theaters last month and is being promoted as the franchise’s final installment. In a three‑star review, NME commented: “With ‘My Way’ playing, Knoxville, the ringleader of these merry pranksters, appears misty‑eyed as he confronts the end of this chapter. As the film concludes with one last gross‑out gag—a foul‑smelling Twister remix—your eyes will likely water as well.”
