Toss Bangladesh chose to bat against South Africa
South Africa must win to preserve their semi‑final aspirations, while India also battles for a knockout berth and will face Australia in the second match of the day.
Bangladesh made a single alteration at the top of the batting order, bringing in Taj Nehar in place of Dilara Akter. South Africa remain unchanged from the side that defeated the Netherlands by 88 runs in Bristol on Thursday.
The day’s match was slated to begin under mild, bright conditions on the same pitch that yielded 334 runs when England beat the West Indies by 38 runs in their group game last Wednesday.
