Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has issued a full-tournament No Objection Certificate (NOC) to fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman, enabling his participation in England’s 2026 The Hundred franchise competition. This development positions him as the inaugural Bangladeshi cricketer to join the tournament, following his selection by Birmingham Phoenix at the base fee of GBP 100,000 during the player draft.
Mustafizur’s NOC covers the entire duration of the 2026 edition, spanning July 21 to August 20. The 30-year-old left-arm seamer, who has previously played in the Indian Premier League, Pakistan Super League, and Major League Cricket, will aim to carve a niche for himself in the high-profile English competition. This milestone underscores his growing prominence on the global T20 stage.
In parallel, opening batsman Parvez Hossain Emon has also secured a BCB-issued NOC to join the 2026 Global Super League (GSL). After Bangladesh complete their three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo (July 15–19), Emon will represent Lahore Qalandars in the GSL. Known for his time with the franchise in the Pakistan Super League, the left-hander’s transition to franchise cricket in the GSL will begin immediately post-international duty.
Adding to Bangladesh’s overseas representation, pace bowler Hasan Mahmud will remain with Kent Spitfires for the final three fixtures of the Vitality Blast group stage. Having claimed 12 wickets in two County Championship matches, including a match-winning 6/69 against Lancashire, Mahmud’s performance highlights his value. Post-Vitality Blast, he is set to rejoin Bangladesh for their two-Test series against Australia in August. If selected, he will return to England for four additional County Championship games, furthering his adaptation to English cricket conditions.
These NOC approvals reflect the BCB’s strategic alignment of national and franchise commitments, enabling players to seamlessly transition between international and club responsibilities. Mustafizur’s historic inclusion in The Hundred marks a significant moment for Bangladeshi cricket on the global stage.
