Gabriel Jesus completed a deadline day transfer from Arsenal to Barcelona on Tuesday, signing a three-year contract with the Catalan club.

The 29-year-old Brazilian forward was part of the Arsenal squad that won the Premier League title last season, having previously won four league championships during his time at Manchester City.

He makes the move to Spanish champions Barcelona following the departure of Robert Lewandowski at the end of last season.

Jesus first joined Arsenal in 2022 after six successful seasons at Manchester City. Although his time at the Emirates Stadium was hampered by injuries, he contributed to ending the club’s 22-year wait for an English league title.

He becomes the latest addition in a productive transfer window for Barcelona, joining new signings Anthony Gordon, Rodri, Joao Cancelo, Karim Adeyemi, and Dominik Livakovic.
