Bradley Barcola is poised to commit his future to Liverpool after the Premier League side reached an agreement with Paris Saint‑Germain over the terms of his transfer.
According to Sky Sports, the two clubs have agreed in principle on a package worth £120 million, with the final details centred on the payment structure. Liverpool are set to pay an initial £106 million, complemented by up to £17 million in add‑ons.
The clubs must still exchange the relevant paperwork, and Barcola is expected to undergo a medical examination later this weekend.
Earlier in the summer there was a gap between the clubs’ valuations, with PSG initially asking for around £145 million for the France international. The 23‑year‑old will now sign a five‑year contract with Liverpool.
Should the move be completed, Barcola will become Liverpool’s second‑most expensive signing, behind the club‑record acquisition of Alexander Isak from Newcastle for £125 million last summer.
His arrival could open the door for Cody Gakpo to leave Anfield, with Tottenham and Manchester City both monitoring the Dutch winger’s situation.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are also pursuing another winger, with Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr identified as a target after negotiations with Brighton for Yankuba Minteh proved difficult.
