Baron Corbin marked his return to WWE on the July 10 episode of SmackDown, interrupting a non‑title bout between United States Champion Trick Williams and former champ Carmelo Hayes.
Corbin attacked Hayes as he attempted his Nothing But Net finisher, then also took out Williams and hoisted the newly redesigned white‑fur United States Title.
The announcers confirmed he is competing under his Baron Corbin name, having previously wrestled on the indie circuit as Bishop Dyer.
Corbin, a former United States Champion (2017) and former NXT Tag Team Champion with Bron Breakker as part of The Wolf Dogs, also captured the 2017 Money in the Bank ladder match, though his cash‑in attempt on Jinder Mahal was thwarted by John Cena.
His comeback comes amid rumors of impending returns for Enzo Amore and Big Cass.
