Belgium and Egypt Learn Their Round of 32 Opponents and Venues

Iran placed third in the group, keeping their tournament hopes alive as they await the final wildcard standings to determine if they qualify as one of the competition’s best third‑place teams, while New Zealand finished bottom of Group G without a single point after three matches.

Round of 32 venues and potential matchups

Because they won Group G, Belgium is scheduled to play their Round of 32 match on July 1 at Seattle Stadium. Their opponent will be one of the wildcard third‑place finishers from Groups A, E, H, I or J.

Depending on how the wildcard picture unfolds, Belgium could face opponents such as South Korea or Scotland, among other third‑place teams still awaiting their final positions.

In the meantime, Egypt will begin their knockout campaign on July 3 at Dallas Stadium, where they are slated to meet Australia, who finished second in Group D.
