Ben Chilwell silenced the home supporters.

Ben Chilwell engaged in a light-hearted exchange with a Fulham fan at Craven Cottage.

Crystal Palace secured their first victory of the season, edging Fulham 3-2 in an exciting encounter at Craven Cottage.

Fulham took the lead twice, only for Palace to level the score each time. In the 77th minute, summer signing Ben Chilwell netted the winner for his new club.

Prior to the match, both teams were winless, and with fresh managerial appointments on either sideline, the triumph felt particularly significant for the visitors.

It was an entertaining match, arguably one of the weekend’s best. The defining moment arrived after the final whistle, when Palace celebrated with their traveling supporters before heading down the tunnel at Craven Cottage.

A Fulham supporter then shouted at Chilwell, labeling him a “Chelsea reject.”

Chilwell spent five seasons at Chelsea, including a six‑month loan spell at Palace, and collected a Champions League medal and a Club World Cup during his stint in west London.

It was a brazen comment aimed at a player who had just secured the victory. Chilwell responded in kind, telling the fan to “hold that L.”

Both clubs remain winless after three matches, sitting at the bottom of the table—perhaps a reminder for fans to temper their remarks.

The incident is captured in the clip below:
