Ben Stokes Leads Durham to Dominant Victory, Boosting Promotion Prospects

Ben Stokes delivered another outstanding performance with both bat and ball, propelling Durham to a decisive 338‑run victory over Derbyshire and keeping their Championship promotion hopes alive.

The former England captain added a half‑century and two early wickets, then compiled an unbeaten 66, before claiming 5‑17 as Derbyshire were bowled out for 84 while attempting a daunting 423‑run chase.

After beginning their first innings at 127‑6 and trailing by 156, Derbyshire were bowled out for 156, with Matthew Potts of Durham taking 5‑46.
