Marco Bezzecchi set the pace in Friday’s opening MotoGP free practice session at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, posting a benchmark lap of 1:30.132 aboard his Aprilia Racing RS-GP26. The Italian edged out a competitive 22-rider field on the 4.30-kilometer Indonesian layout.

Reigning champion Marc Marquez slotted into second position, 0.237 seconds adrift on the Lenovo Ducati Desmosedici GP26. Bezzecchi’s teammate Jorge Martin followed closely in third, just 0.029 seconds behind Marquez with a 1:30.398.

Pedro Acosta continued his strong form in fourth on the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing RC16, clocking a 1:30.426. Raul Fernandez rounded out the top five for the Trackhouse Aprilia squad, posting a 1:30.534 on the RS-GP26.
