Ellyse Perry fought a lone battle with her 39, as no other Phoenix batter reached double figures in a dismal showing.

This score ties for the second‑lowest total in Women’s Hundred history, and Phoenix still own the record low of 54, set against the Northern Superchargers (now Sunrisers Leeds) in 2024.

The Oval Invincibles (now MI London) also posted 64 against the Superchargers that same year.

Debutant Samantha Bates, an uncapped Australian spinner, was the standout bowler for Trent Rockets with figures of 3‑10, while seamer Georgia Elwiss contributed 3‑13.

On another bowler‑friendly pitch, Australia’s Kim Garth delivered a tight spell of 2‑5, and leg‑spinner Katie Levick picked up 1‑8.

England batter Sophia Dunkley dominated the chase with an unbeaten 43 off 17 balls, enabling Trent Rockets to reach the target in just 31 balls for a comprehensively one‑sided victory.

Batting has struggled in all four matches to date; London Spirit were dismissed for 80 in their opener on Thursday, while the highest total recorded so far is Southern Brave’s 126, which they defended successfully against Welsh Fire.

The only blemish for Trent Rockets was Ash Gardner’s dropped chance of Perry on nine, a miss that could have added further embarrassment for Phoenix, whose captain was the sole batsman to show the pitch offered some scoring opportunities.
