Farside’s reported $137.3 million U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF inflow on August 17 was largely driven by Fidelity, accounting for 81.5% of the total, signaling a narrow recovery rather than broad market demand.

Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) contributed $111.9 million, with BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) showing no numeric entries. Ark Invest and MSBT added $14.2 million and $11.2 million, respectively. Farside’s data suggests the session lacked diversified participation, as most entries remained zero across other funds.

The $137.3 million gain only offset 35.6% of the $385.2 million net outflow over the prior five sessions. Farside’s flow history reveals a pattern of volatility, with significant daily losses preceding this rebound.

Analysts caution that concentrated inflows from a single issuer may not indicate sustained recovery. The lack of contributions from other major providers like IBIT raises questions about the durability of this trend.
