S&P Dow Jones Indices announced late Friday that Bloom Energy, Illumina, and Everpure will join the S&P 500 index. Following the announcement, shares of the three companies climbed in after-hours trading. The additions, set to take effect before the market opens on Monday, September 21, are part of a scheduled quarterly rebalancing of S&P indexes. The newcomers will replace Molson Coors in the benchmark.
