The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced the possibility of reducing its workforce by up to a third to address a serious financial deficit.
The union has earmarked 200 of its 600 English staff for potential redundancy, sparking concern and anger among employees, who have labeled the action as appalling and hypocritical.
The announcement comes days after resident doctors in England—also BMA members—narrowly approved a pay settlement that will raise the minimum salary of the highest‑paid doctors to £77,348. The deal_SEG
