Bo Nix made his return to the field after a 216-day absence due to a right ankle injury sustained during the divisional playoff game against the Buffalo Bills. The quarterback entered the game in the second quarter, immediately making an impact for the Broncos’ offense.
On his two drives, Denver’s offense gained 95 yards over 14 plays, resulting in a touchdown and a field goal. Nix demonstrated precision with a 35-yard connection to rookie wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and capped his performance with a 21-yard touchdown pass to RJ Harvey.
This marked Nix’s first experience working with offensive coordinator Davis Webb, who assumed play-calling duties in place of head coach Sean Payton, who had previously overseen the offense during Nix’s first two seasons.
The game remained tied at 10-10 with 12:04 remaining in the second quarter, showcasing Nix’s efficient return and the Broncos’ offensive resurgence.
