Boliden AB (BDNNY, BOL.ST), a Swedish mining and metals company, reported strong second‑quarter 2026 results on Monday, showing a marked increase in profitability. Net profit attributable to the parent’s owners rose to SEK 2.22 billion, up from SEK 573 million a year earlier. Earnings per share climbed to SEK 7.81 versus SEK 2.02 in the prior‑year quarter.
Operating profit also more than doubled, reaching SEK 3.19 billion compared with SEK 1.09 billion in Q2 2025. Revenue grew to SEK 25.73 billion from SEK 22.29 billion a year ago.
The company kept its full‑year outlook unchanged, confirming that the planned maintenance shutdowns in the Smelters business area will impact earnings by SEK 450 million for 2026, with SEK 50 million each expected in the third and fourth quarters. Guidance for milled volumes at all mines except Tara remains intact, and grade estimates for all operations were left unchanged.
Boliden also announced it will release its complete 2027 guidance on 8 December. In the interim, the firm reiterated that Garpenberg’s 2027 milled volume is projected at 2.3 million tonnes.
In trading on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, Boliden AB closed 0.28 % higher at SEK 505.80 per share.
