Bonnaroo 2026: Severe Weather Cancels 11 Sunday Performances Amid Lightning and Rain]

Severe weather disrupted Bonnaroo 2026 on Sunday as lightning and heavy rain forced the cancellation of 11 scheduled performances at the Manchester, Tennessee festival.

The affected acts included Nat Myers, Little Stranger, Buffalo Traffic Jam, Girl Tones, MOTIFV, Aly & AJ, Spacey Jane, Hemlocke Springs, Blondshell, A Hundred Drums, and Trombone Shorty.

Aly & AJ faced similar circumstances at Bonnaroo 2025, when adverse weather led to the cancellation of three of the festival’s four days. The pop-rock duo addressed the repeated setbacks on social media, with AJ Michalka writing on Instagram Stories, “We love you Bonnaroo! We really think you should change the month your festival is, though. But no hard feelings.” The sisters confirmed they would attempt a return in 2027.

Michalka had traveled from France, where she is filming a role in HBO’s The White Lotus season 4, for the 2026 appearance.

The festival has faced weather-related challenges in recent years. Bonnaroo 2020 was cancelled along with other major events due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while the 2021 edition was called off following flooding from Hurricane Ida. Although Bonnaroo 2024 also experienced severe weather, no performances were cancelled that year.

Last summer, Bonnaroo surveyed attendees about potential schedule changes, including later summer or September/October dates. However, the festival maintained its traditional mid-June timing for 2026.

Sunday’s remaining performances will stream live on Hulu and Disney+, featuring Noah Kahan, Kesha, and Modest Mouse.
