Booker T says he could lace up his boots again to take on anyone who challenges him, such as Trick Williams. Williams has frequently pointed to Booker as a mentor and source of inspiration, noting that he would love to step into the ring with the Hall of Famer.

In his interview on Insight With Chris Van Vliet, Booker T addressed Williams’ call‑out, explaining that while he often receives challenges from fans and peers, his current focus is on developing new talent. He added that he would consider returning to the ring if the situation warranted it, and invited viewers to watch the highlights below.

On the Most Fun Period Of His Career:

“When I teamed with Sharmell as King Booker, I don’t think anything could have been more enjoyable. Our time in TNA was also a lot of fun—it felt like a vacation, and we were still getting paid.”

On Being Called Out By Trick Williams:

“I’m not sure what’s driving these younger wrestlers to call me out. Just as people challenge Mike Tyson or Floyd Mayweather, they see me as a legend worth targeting, hoping to ride my coattails for a bit of recognition. I could consider it, but I’ve already accomplished everything I set out to do in wrestling. Right now, with Summer Champions 12 underway in this building, I’m surrounded by promising talent I’m mentoring, all striving to reach the next level. My focus is entirely on developing them. I don’t need to prove anything, but let’s be clear: if the situation ever required it, I wouldn’t hesitate to lace up my boots, step back in the ring, and give someone a solid reminder. I still do that kind of work every day. As I always say—never say never.”
