Brad Paisley Shares Insider Look at Swift‑Kelce Wedding Details

Brad Paisley disclosed some behind‑the‑scenes observations from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan earlier this month. Although the venue, which seats 20,000, was sizable, he described it as “one of the most unpretentious weddings” he has ever experienced.

Paisley and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams‑Paisley, were among the privileged attendees of the ceremony. The event was deliberately kept secret, with limited information shared even with guests. Swift first opened for Paisley on his 2007 tour as a teenager, and he has long admired her work.

“When I received the invitation, it resonated deeply because it read, ‘If you’re getting this, you mean a lot to us,’” Paisley explained in an interview with the Associated Press. “It was amusing to observe the cat‑and‑mouse effect — ‘We can give you a general location, but not the exact building… Here’s the date, and if you’re attending, we’ll reveal more.’ I asked my wife, ‘Do you want to go?’ She replied instantly, ‘Absolutely, we have to be there.’ Our answer was a definitive RSVP ‘yes.’”

Reflecting on the event, Paisley noted, “In hindsight, it was ironically one of the most unpretentious weddings I have ever attended — or likely will.” He added that being invited was a significant gesture of gratitude from Swift.

Ahead of Swift and Kelce’s wedding, the couple contributed a $26 million gift to 20 U.S. charities, selected for their personal significance to the pair, including Paisley’s Nashville‑based nonprofit, The Store.
