49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is active on social media again.
In his latest Instagram story, Aiyuk repeatedly says “go Commanders.”
The clip appears about two weeks after he posted several videos criticizing the 49ers, nine days after those videos were removed, and a week after a video captioned “coming to an end zone near [you].”
Many observers speculate that Aiyuk could eventually join the Washington Commanders if the 49ers release him, though no move has been made yet.
The 49ers have retained Aiyuk’s rights while exploring a potential trade. Should he report to training camp, the team’s likely option may be to cut him.
If Aiyuk were to practice with the 49ers and suffer a season‑ending injury, the franchise could be liable for more than $26 million. Currently, the team does not owe him any money.
