Brandon Flowers covered Oasis‘ classic hit single “Don’t Look Back In Anger” with his 15‑year‑old son Henry on acoustic guitar at a concert commemorating the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in Salt Lake City.
The Killers frontman brought Henry onto the stage for the emotional rendition, showcasing a rare father‑son duet that highlighted both his love for Oasis and his supportive role as a parent.
Flowers introduced the performance: “I’ve got a 15‑year‑old son and he loves Oasis and he’s gonna come out and he’s gonna do ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’,” he said. “C’mon Henry, c’mon out here.” You can view footage below.
The set also featured tracks from his new solo album “Thrasher,” as well as classics like “Mr Brightside” and “Read My Mind.” He is currently on his North America tour, with upcoming shows in the US and a stop at London’s Royal Albert Hall on October 15.
“Thrasher” marks his first solo release since 2015’s “The Desired Effect” and earned a four‑star review from NME, which praised his soulful delivery and growth as a storyteller.
Ahead of the release, Flowers discussed the album’s inspiration, his childhood, and plans for a forthcoming “sister record” addressing loneliness. He also noted the band’s ongoing work, mentioning sessions with Ariel Rechtshaid and Shawn Rado, and expressed optimism about future Killers material.
Oasis released a documentary titled after the hit earlier in the week, receiving high acclaim from NME for its passionate storytelling.
