Brazil’s Supreme Court has sentenced Eduardo Bolsonaro, the third son of former far-right President Jair Bolsonaro, to four years in prison. The conviction stems from his alleged efforts to pressure U.S. officials to impose economic sanctions on Brazil in an attempt to influence his father’s ongoing Supreme Court proceedings. The elder Bolsonaro is currently serving a 27-year sentence for his role in a failed coup attempt in 2022.
