BTS Fan Accused of Repeated Doorbell Rings Faces Possible Deportation

A Brazilian woman has been warned that she may face deportation after she repeatedly rang the doorbell of BTS member Jung Kook 133 times, according to a Sydney court.

She was sentenced to a suspended prison term, with the sentence set to be enforced if she is found to breach the conditions imposed by the Seoul court.

The woman, whose name has not been released, began following Jung Kook in December 2025. She claimed that her actions—leaving letters and photographs at his doorstep—were driven by love. Her persistence eventually led to a court order that barred her from approaching the star’s residence.

Despite the warning, the fan returned to the property multiple times. The court described her behaviour as an “extreme level of obsession” and stated she had visited the premises at least 22 times, including the incident where she rang the doorbell 133 times.

After a police investigation, she was arrested on December 13th, following a food‑delivery worker to gain access through a side gate. She was released the next day after receiving a formal caution to stay away from the property.

When the earlier warnings failed, the police issued an emergency order preventing her from approaching within a 100 metre radius of the residence. The court further referred the case to prosecutors in February 2026.

Her case is currently pending appeal; a successful appeal could alter the proposed deportation order.

Amidst this legal drama, BTS returned to the stage in Busan earlier this month, marking the first time in more than three years that the group has performed in the city. The two‑night concert series, dubbed ‘BTS World Tour Arirang In Busan’, took place at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium on 12 and 13 June.

These shows carried significant emotional weight for the group, as they formed the final venue before the members’ mandatory military service, which forces them into a temporary hiatus. The second night also coincided with the official anniversary of BTS’s debut, drawing an audience of over 110,000 across the two concerts.

Since launching the world tour in April, BTS have delivered 20 shows in seven cities and introduced new tracks from their latest album ‘ARIRANG’. The setlists blended iconic tracks such as “Ddaeng,” “Dimple” and “Magic Shop” with fresh material, showcasing the group’s continued artistic evolution.

Notable moments from the tour include the debut of songs like “Body to Body,” “Hooligan,” and “Like Animals.” During the opening performance at Goyang Stadium, lead rapper RM performed most of the set seated after injuring his ankle during rehearsals, underscoring the group’s determination.

Audience reception has been enthusiastic, with critics praising BTS’s ability to maintain momentum despite their hiatus. The album ‘ARIRANG’ received a four‑star review from NME, which highlighted the group’s dual identity as both public icons and relatable figures.
