The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will return to their original 1976 look for the upcoming Week 13 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
This season, the team wore the classic white jerseys and helmets—complete with the original Buccaneer logo—twice to commemorate the franchise’s 50th anniversary. After announcing no additional plans to reuse the throwbacks, the Buccaneers reversed course this week and confirmed they will reappear on the field for the Home game against the Chargers.
Both of the team’s previous appearances in the white‑on‑white kit ended in victories: a 29‑27 win over the New York Jets in Week 3 and a 38‑35 triumph over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5. That game also saw the Seahawks don their own 1976 uniforms.
While no long‑term schedule for the throwbacks has been released, the positive results and fan enthusiasm suggest another outing against the Chargers could very well happen again in the future.
