Wildfires raging through the night in southern California have scorched more than 2,000 acres, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire).

Aerial footage from Monday shows a helicopter battling the flames, while vehicles traverse roads near the active fire zones in Riverside County.

Evacuation shelters have been established for displaced residents following evacuation orders issued in parts of the county.
