Carlos Rodon Leads Yankees Over Guardians, Sweeping the Series

Jazz Chisholm Jr. contributed a two-run triple and three RBIs while Trent Grisham scored three times as the New York Yankees clinched a three-game sweep of the Cleveland Guardians with an 8-4 win Wednesday afternoon at Progressive Field.

The team’s best run of the series came in the second inning, when four hits and three RBIs fueled their comeback after Angel Martinez homered on Rodon’s first pitch. Trent Grisham and Caballero each singled and scored on Chisholm’s triple, which drove in a pair of runs against Messick.
