Back on July 21, the Carolina Hurricanes announced that they will launch their own network heading into the 2026-27 season. At that time, no one knew the network’s name or who would be on the broadcast besides Mike Maniscalco and Tripp Tracy. Now, on Sept. 1, the franchise has officially revealed both the network’s name and its full roster of on-air talent.
Welcome to the Hurricanes Hockey Network
According to the Hurricanes, the new network will operate as the Hurricanes Hockey Network (HHN). In coordination with the NHL, Hurricanes vice president of communications Mike Sundheim will oversee distribution, sales, and marketing for HHN.
Regarding on-air talent, it was already known that Maniscalco will handle play-by-play once again, while Tracy will serve as the television analyst. The team has now confirmed that Hanna Yates will remain with the organization in her new roles as broadcast and digital host. Alongside Yates, just as during their time with Bally/FanDuel, Shane Willis will continue as an analyst for pregame, intermission, and postgame coverage.
This is encouraging news for Hurricanes fans, as the four on-air personalities they tuned in for over the past four seasons are all returning. The continuity of the broadcast lineup suggests a promising start for the new network.

Following the announcement of HHN and its on-air talent, CEO of Hurricanes Holdings Brian Fork stated, “We’re excited to welcome back our full on-air talent lineup as we launch Hurricanes Hockey Network. Our fans trust and appreciate Mike, Tripp, Hanna, and Shane to take them inside the game and keep broadcasts entertaining with insight, professionalism, and personality.”
Now that the network name and broadcast team have been confirmed, fans are awaiting further details on where games will air. The Hurricanes are scheduled for 12 nationally televised games this upcoming season, which will be broadcast on the Hurricanes Radio Network with Maniscalco and Tracy. That leaves 72 remaining games set to air on the new HHN during the 2026-27 season.
Despite fans having to wait for additional information on where to watch, the announcement of the broadcast team builds anticipation for the upcoming season. Combined with the organization’s increased investment in behind-the-scenes content over the past year, the Hurricanes and HHN appear poised for a strong debut.
