The Ghanaian cedi continued to strengthen against the US dollar on Friday, June 11, 2026, improving from the rates recorded on Thursday.
The currency posted an average buying rate of GHS11.23, reflecting a 20 pesewas appreciation, while the selling rate stood at GHS12.01, down by 11 pesewas.
At forex bureaus, the dollar was being bought at GHS11.80 and sold at GHS12.50.
On the Bank of Ghana interbank market, the cedi traded at GHS11.04 for buying and GHS11.06 for selling.
For the British pound, forex bureau rates averaged GHS14.79 for buying and GHS16.13 for selling. The Bank of Ghana interbank rate for the pound was GHS14.74.
The euro was also trading at GHS12.86 for buying and GHS13.93 for selling at forex bureaus, while the interbank rate stood at GHS12.72.
In the remittance market, LemFi and Taptap Send offered dollar rates of GHS11.20 and GHS11.55 respectively for transfers from the US or UK to Ghana.
For the British pound, LemFi and Taptap Send quoted GHS14.83 and GHS15.64 respectively for remittances from the US or UK.
For euro transfers, Taptap Send and LemFi offered rates of GHS13.51 and GHS12.90 respectively.
Digital subscription payments made through Visa and Mastercard for platforms such as Netflix, Spotify, and Apple Music were priced at an exchange rate of GHS11.99.
