Sami Zayn vs. Trick Williams
Trick Williams confronted Zayn during the October 23 opening segment, demanding a championship match. “I ain’t asking for a title match. I’m demanding a title match,” Williams declared. Zayn responded with a chop block before SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis scheduled Zayn, Johnny Gargano, Williams, and Rey Fenix for a later matchup.
Backstage, Williams confirmed to reporter Cathy Kelley that the October 30 showdown is set. In the main event that night, Williams secured a pinfall over Ricky Saints with a uranage en route to victory in his six-man tag team contest with Rey Fenix and Penta against Zayn, Gargano, and Saints. Commentary noted the winner faces World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel.
Chelsea Green vs. Nikki Bella
Green retained her Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez on October 23 using her Unprettier signature move. Following the match, Money in the Bank holder Tiffany Stratton approached the official with her briefcase, intending to cash in on Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. However, Judgment Day intervened, removing Morgan from the ring before the cash-in could be executed.
Stratton stated backstage, “I can’t wait to see the look on Liv’s face when I cash in and become the women’s world champion.”
Rey Fenix vs. Ricky Saints
Following a contentious October 23 tag team main event where Saints pulled Fenix off the apron resulting in a disqualification, the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship match was announced post-show. Fenix’s next defense occurs at AAA Heroes Inmortales on October 24 in Mexico City against Mini Vikingo.
Gunther’s Halloween Appearance
In a WWE digital exclusive, Gunther confirmed his participation in the Charleston event.
“Well, first of all, I hate Halloween,” Gunther told Cathy Kelley. “You know what, Cathy? I’m going to be there next week and I’m going to make sure it’s going to be a very special night for a very special boy.”
