Charli XCX has quietly released the ‘Music, Fashion, Film (B‑sides Edition)’ on iTunes.
Three tracks that were previously shared exclusively on her alternate Instagram account — “I Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night,” “Playboy backed Bunny,” and “If You Take the Music Then What Has She Got?” — are now available for digital purchase as part of the deluxe edition of her latest album.
Originally issued as physical B‑sides on limited 7″ single editions of “Rock Music,” “SS26,” and “Camera,” as well as a physical box set, the songs had not been officially released for digital download until July 26.
While earlier she had warned that they would never be made available on streaming services, XCX confirmed this week that the tracks would finally be uploaded to iTunes. “I’ve made a B‑side for each song released ahead of ‘Music, Fashion, Film’ because it felt natural to pair each track with a fitting counterpart,” she explained. “B‑sides often become fan favorites, and in this case they have.” She added, “I was hesitant to put them on streaming because it felt counter‑intuitive to the ethos of those songs, but you all asked for them, so I’ve reluctantly put them on iTunes.”
The album “Music, Fashion, Film” was released on July 24, accompanied by an online short film she created for the record. Fans were invited to preview the film during listening events held in 25 cities before the official release.
The project was produced by XCX, Cook, and Keane and includes previously released singles such as “Rock Music,” “SS26,” “Wink Wink,” and “Camera.” It represents her first conventional studio album since 2024’s all‑conquering “Brat,” following her work on the soundtrack for Emerald Fennell’s “Wuthering Heights.”
She will headline Lollapalooza in Chicago next Friday (July 31), then headline Reading & Leeds in August, before launching a North American arena tour with Underscores in Philadelphia on September 11.
In other news, XCX recently revealed her favorite tracks from her back catalogue: “Stay Away,” “Next Level Charli,” Shygirl’s remix of “365,” “Track 10,” and her SOPHIE collaboration “Vroom Vroom.”
